
A LMHS Track Star with Talent!
Samuel Kanidy, a LMHS track star, in his final year of high school. His favorite color is rose gold. He joined track to be more physically fit as a person. He enjoys reading, writing, studying philosophy and likes to game. Samuel is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his ethnicity is Sudanese. Friends describe him as an honest, funny and nonchalant person.
Q: What sparked your passion for joining track?
A: “My sister did track which contributed to me joining the team. I also joined because I felt like it would build character and help me increase my physical fitness.”
Q: How do you balance that with your outside life and school life?
A: “I wouldn’t say I balance it but I would say that I have made many sacrifices to keep up after joining the team. I aslo adapted to having to include being a ‘track player’ in my lifestyle.”
Q: What advice would you give to someone who recently joined the track team as a beginner?
A: “I would say stay disciplined. I say this because you are only gonna go as far as your effort takes you, so put in that work if you wanna achieve great things and improve as a track player”
