by Anonymous Published by Leanne Kirst Today, the world grew quieter, still A gentle soul has left the hill The hands that shaped so much of me Now rest beneath the silent tree. His voice, once strong, now fades away, But in my heart, it still will stay The laughter shared, the wisdom passed, A love that even death, cant outlast The years were kind, though time was brief, He leaves behind a quiet grief Yet in each tear, a memory gleams, A thread of hope within our dreams The world moves on, as world will do, But something shifts when we lose you No longer will your footsteps sound, Yet in my heart, you'll still be found Though your chair is empty, your love is near, In every quiet moment, I'll feel you here A light has gone, but I still see, Your love lives on inside of me

“We Are the Pink, White, and Gray” by Akeelaha scott September 5, 2024 Did you know that Liberty Magnet has its own thriving junior sorority? If not, you do now. Founded by Ariel Robertson and Jailyn Harrison, Zeta Tau Theta was established March 27, 2023. What was once an idea has grown into something extraordinary showcasing the great things Liberty students can do. Soon after in the school year 2023-2024 the junior sorority came to light having their first probate on November 12, 2023 introducing the school to their first annual line and what they stand for. Since then they have done so many great things, one of which is volunteering at elementary schools while also embodying the core values of Liberty. Zeta Tau Theta’s mission is to “grow and strengthen scholarship and leadership by teaching our members community service leadership skills, and sisterhood”. The junior sorority believes in supporting the fellow woman and showing them to believe in themselves and their abilities. Applications will open soon so if you are interested, be on the lookout. Spots will not be available for long, so apply as soon as possible, do not wait until the last minute! Sadly, freshmen are not eligible to join this year, but you will have your chance next year if you are truly interested. Zeta Tau Theta plans to be even more active this year, possibly collaborating on exciting projects within the school. If you have any more questions or are interested, follow the junior sorority on instagram @zetatautheta and get in touch with Ms. Johnson.
